Hard to tell whether I should classify this as real media or digital. Technically, it was colored completely in real media... but the real media original I have of it... looks nothing like this final version. It went through a lot of changes on the screen. As I was coloring this in marker, I reached a point where I knew it wasn't finished, but I really liked how it looked at that point. So I got a good scan, and then proceeded to bastardize the original. I think I went a little overboard initially on the real media version. It had somehow lost its ethereal quality, and though it had the contrast that the earlier version was missing, there was just something wrong with it. My teacher for that class, Perez, made a couple suggestions and pushed the due date back a class. Which gave me time to work some magic. XD

I ended up fiddling with the colors in areas, and adding the earlier version on top of the later one at about 40% transparency, then erasing out in some areas. Just enough to give the cat that ethereal quality that I'd liked in the early scan.

Quite a learning experience, this.
